Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to invite you to participate in the 5th Palaeontological Virtual Congress (PVC), scheduled to take place online in March 2025. This innovative platform offers a unique opportunity to share and discuss the latest advancements in paleontological research with a global audience, all from the convenience of your location. https://www.palaeovc.org/
One of the featured thematic sessions is entitled "Microfossil in extreme marine enviroments". Trough a micropaleontological POV this session aims to explore the latest developments and interdisciplinary approaches to investigate the adaptations and survival strategies of organisms in extreme marine conditions, which are increasingly relevant due to climate change and human activities. These environments include polar regions, hydrothermal vents, cold seeps, anoxic areas, and extremely eutrophic/oligotrophic settings all characterized by hostile conditions that challenge the survival of marine life. Further details on the session are available here: https://www.palaeovc.org/thematic-session/microfossil-in-extreme-marine-enviroment/
Key Advantages of Participating in the 5th PVC:
-
Publication: All accepted abstracts will be published in the official Book of Abstracts.
- Flexible presentation formats: Participants can choose from various presentation formats, including video presentations (10–15 minutes), slide presentations (6–30 slides), or posters (up to 5 slides), accommodating different communication styles.
