Dear friends and colleagues,
We are very pleased to welcome contributions for a Special Issue focussing on the evolution of crustal-scale shear zones (CSSZs) in the open-access journal Geosciences (See attached file for details).
In this Special Issue, we encourage the submission of scientific papers focussing on the study of plastic- and/or brittle-related crustal-scale shear-zones, with particular reference to those characterised by the transition from plastic- to frictional-deformation behaviour. Multiscale structural investigation that investigate the physical conditions during deformation and are supported by fabric and microfabric quantitative analysis are very welcome. We anticipate receiving contributions that will appeal to a broad international readership leading to a volume of general interest on the subject.
