Dear Colleague,
As you can imagine your Organising and Local committees have been busy developing plans for the conference, we can now announce detais of the social progam, early career events and the list of field trips.
Code of Conduct
We wanted to also let you know about a recent developement within the Geochemcial Society and European Association of Geochemistry. As part of their ongoing committment to fostering a thriving community which builds academic excellence they have codifed the expactations of conduct which are required by those attending the conference. All delegates attending the confernce will have to accept the terms of the Code of Conduct as part of the registration contract. You can read the full text here.

Game On! Fenway Park Mixer: Monday evening, relax after the posters with bar sports, food and potentially the chance to try out your skills in the Red Sox batting cage. ($50)
Conference Banquet: Thursday evening, party at the Hynes with colleagues and friends. Live music, good food and geochemists aplenty. ($90).
Early Career Program
With Sunday workshops on developing career options and three days of lunchtime events the Early career program is focusing on the key skills needed at this critical stage. If this is for you, book your events soon as lunch places are limited, if you are one of our senior scientists please encourage your students and post-docs take up this opportunity.
Field Trips
One of the wonderful things about a travelling conference is the chance it gives the community to visit the exciting sites which are local to the conference each time we move. 2018 is no exception and with 1-3 days trips availble everyone should be able to find time to take advantage of at least one of the planned trips.
