The Nepal Geological Society (NGS) is pleased to announce the 11th Nepal Geological Congress, which will be held on March 10-11, 2025, at Hotel Everest in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Congress will focus on the theme "Geosciences for Climate Change Adaptation, Natural Resources, and Geo-hazard Management," with ten key sub-themes, including Geomorphology, Stratigraphy, Paleontology, and Tectonics; Mineralogy, Petrology, Geochemistry, and Geochronology; Geophysics and Seismo-Tectonics; Exploration and Exploitation of Mineral Resources, Petroleum, and Natural Gas; Engineering Geology and Geo-techniques for Infrastructure Development; Environmental Geology, Glaciology, and Geohydrology; Geo-hazards and Disaster Risk Management; Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation, and Mitigation; Geology for Sustainable Development and Tourism; Artificial Intelligence in Geosciences Education. The previous editions of the Congress have consistently ensured the participation of over 250 attendees, including a substantial number of international participants from the geoscience, engineering, mining, and tourism sectors. Hence, organization of such event demands both technical and financial soundness of the hosting institutions.

The presented article including abstracts will be published in a NGS Journal as an special issue. In addition, there will be two geological excursions: one around the Kathmandu Basin prior to the Congress, and another in the Higher Himalayas along the Kali Gandaki River section following the Congress.
